EventHands-on IR Workshop: Liver Embolization
Practical training session for fellows and residents at the Interventional Radiology Simulation Lab.
BSVIR successfully conducted a comprehensive hands-on interventional radiology workshop focused on liver embolization techniques, attended by fellows and residents from leading medical institutions across Bangladesh.
The workshop covered:
- Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) for hepatocellular carcinoma
- Bland embolization for hepatic metastases
- Radioembolization (Y-90) patient selection and planning
- Complication recognition and management
- Simulation-based practice on phantom models
Participants received hands-on training under the supervision of experienced interventional radiologists. BSVIR is committed to providing such practical training opportunities to develop the next generation of IR specialists in Bangladesh.
