New Research on Endovascular Aneurysm Repair

BSVIR members publish landmark study on EVAR outcomes in Bangladeshi patient populations.

A team of BSVIR member radiologists has published a landmark multicenter study examining endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) outcomes in Bangladeshi patients — the first large-scale study of its kind in the country.

Key findings of the study include:

  • Technical success rate of 96.4% across all participating centers
  • Significant reduction in 30-day mortality compared to open repair
  • Favorable outcomes in high-risk elderly patients
  • Recommendations for national EVAR screening protocols

The study has been published in a peer-reviewed international journal and is expected to inform national vascular surgery guidelines. BSVIR congratulates the research team on this important contribution to the field.
